This week’s bunch

The Thursday garden bunch

One hand-tied bunch, cut by the growers the morning it travels: the scented stems in front, a long-lasting base behind them, and a different mix every week as the season turns.

Cut the same morning, an hour from the shop

Every stem in the weekly bunch is cut by a grower we buy from directly, all of them within an hour of the shop. Nothing is flown in, and nothing sits in a cooler waiting for a buyer.

The farms in this week’s bunch

Grown by 3 farms, none farther than 33 miles from the shop. When a grower’s season ends, the next farm down the road steps in rather than a shipped substitute.

Open for this week

A capped list is why a Rose Lane Blooms bunch is cut to order instead of pulled from a cooler: 40 bunches is what three growers, one cutting morning and one delivery route can carry well, so the shop stops there rather than stretch the week.

Spots close Wednesday at 6pm to be on that week’s Thursday route.

12 spots still open — write to the shop before the cutoff and the next bunch is yours.

After the bunch arrives

Keep a Thursday bunch looking right all week

Water, a fresh cut and where the vase sits decide whether a bunch lasts four days or ten. The guide gathers what we tell regulars across the counter, season by season.

The Seasonal Flower-Care Guide

What to do with the bunch in the first hour, how to change the water through the week, and which stems to pull before they spoil the rest — written by season, so it stays useful as the year turns.

  • Water, cut and conditioning for each season
  • A one-page checklist for the first hour
  • What to do when a stem droops early

Flower care

Ask what to do with this week’s bunch

Water, a stem that has drooped, where the vase should sit — type the question and the helper answers from the seasonal notes kept in the Seasonal Flower-Care Guide.

Each question stands alone — nothing is carried over from the one before.

Starting the weekly bunch takes one note to the shop

One note or one call starts it. Tell us where the bunch is going — a kitchen table, a studio desk, a shop counter — and the route that already runs through Portland every Thursdaytakes it from there.

Talk to the shop

Shop4412 SE Belmont Street, Portland, Oregon
OpenTuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm

  1. Write to the shop, or call it

Email hello@roselaneblooms.com or call (503) 555-0134 while the shop is open. Say which street you are on and where the bunch is going — a kitchen table, a studio desk, a shop counter.

  2. We confirm the route and the week

A person at the shop replies, usually within a few hours on a shop day, with the delivery window for your street and the week your first bunch goes out.

  3. The bunch arrives, then again the week after

The bunch travels on Thursday, between 8am and 2pm — cut the same morning they go out. Reply to the same email before Wednesday at 6pm to skip a week or stop altogether.
